  • EFEU (Einfluß von Vegetationsfeuern auf die Zusammensetzung und die Zirkulation der Atmosphäre)
    Research program founded by the BMBF to determine the influences of biomass burning aerosol particles on atmospheric physics and chemistry.
  • The development of ATHAM was mainly founded by the Volkswagen-Stiftung within the Project EVA "Emission of Volcanic Volatiles into the Atmosphere" in cooperation with the Department of Volcanology and Petrology at Geomar.
  • AFS (Aerosol-Forschungsschwerpunkt): Research program founded by the BMBF to determine and characterize the physical and chemical properties, the spatial and temporal distribution, and the sources and sinks of the atmospheric aerosol.
  • Co-operative Activities Supported by NSF and DAAD "Simulation of the 1992 Mt. Spurr Eruptions with the Plume Model ATHAM" with the Department of Geological Engineering and Sciences at Michigan Technological University ,Houghton, MI, USA and the Alaska Volcano Observatory, Anchorage, Alaska, USA.
  • ATHAM is part of the EFEU (Impact of vegetation fires on the composition and circulation of the atmosphere) consortium. EFEU is a german project funded by the German Ministry of Science BMBF.
