Sophie McGeevor, BA, M.Phil.

PhD candidate (registered in the Faculty of History)

In my doctoral research I am focussing on developing a methodology to quantify the difference between male and female time-use in the later eighteenth and early nineteenth century England. I am particularly interested in the extent to which men and women allocated their time differently towards production for the market, production for the home and leisure and what the reasons for this may have been.
