Research

My research uses satellite remote sensing to identify seasonal velocity variations of Antarctic ice shelves and the glaciers feeding them. I am currently focussed on the George VI Ice Shelf (Antarctic Peninsula) and its contributing glaciers. My research will also investigate the driving factors behind the velocity variations observed. There is scope to expand this research to beyond George VI Ice Shelf to investigate whether the velocity variations, and their driving factors, are replicated elsewhere on the Antarctic Peninsula or elsewhere in Antarctica.
