Postal book returns
Recent graduates, staff leavers and Visiting Scholar leavers are now able to return library books by ‘Freepost’ to the University Library for forwarding on to their home library.
University Library books, Faculty and Departmental Library books and College books can all be posted back if eligible users fill out this form to request a pre-paid returns label to return books by freepost.
Individual parcels must not weigh more than 20kg and must not be larger than L 61cm x W 46cm x D46cm. Users can ask for more than one label if needed.
Further details of this service can be found in the Returns LibGuide.

Returning books by hand
Alternatively, members of the Department can return library items, by hand, to the Library Helpdesk or to the drop box outside the Geography Library entrance between 9:00-16:00 on weekdays (ID card required to enter/exit the building), or anyone can return their books to the drop boxes located at the Betty and Gordon Moore Library and the Medical Library, which will be returned back to the Geography Library. Out of hours, small books can be posted through the letterbox on the outside of the Department of Geography building (to the left of the double glass doors with the words ‘School of Geography’ written above them).
Books returned to the Department will be returned from your library account during our service open hours, or at the beginning of the next working day at the latest.
