Department of Geography

Accessibility and disability

The Library policy is to make the library and its collection as accessible as possible to all potential users.

We work with the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre (ADRC) and the Libraries Accessibility Service at the University Library [] to accommodate specific user needs and requirements – detailed information relating to accessibility in the Department of Geography building is also available.

The Library is now accessible to people for whom stairs are difficult. For access to the Library, you can take the lift to the first floor and there are automatic accessible doors from the lift to the Library.

We are always happy to fetch material from the shelves that you would like to consult or borrow. Please let us know if we can help.

We are also happy to meet with you for a personalised discussion about how to make the Library easier for you to use. Please contact the Library and Information Manager if you would like to arrange a 1-to-1 appointment to discuss this.
