Museum Room

Introduction

The Museum Room houses invaluable collections of magic lantern slides,
bones, example sediments, seeds and wood thin sections derived from the
research and teaching activities of Sir Professor Harry Godwin and Professor
Richard West.

These collections form an important resource for undergraduate and graduate
teaching, and research. This represents an historic archive built
up over more than half a century of work.

It is proposed that a computerised catalogue of this museum material
be produced thus making it more widely available.

Access to these materials is obtained through Dr Steve Boreham or Chris
Rolfe.

Loan of items from this room requires a loans form to be completed
and approved by Dr Steve Boreham. A loan application form is available
online at www.geog.cam.ac.uk/facilities/laboratories/equipment/loan/
.

All items borrowed become the responsibility of the person who has signed
for it. He/She may be held financially responsible for the repair of said
items in the event of loss or damage.

Health and Safety

Great care and attention must be taken when handling these items as
they are an invaluable teaching and research resource which is irreplaceable.

Great care must be taken when lifting heavy samples.
