Conference Registration Fee Schedule

NEW: April 1, 2018 Registration is now closed.
Notice: March 22, 2018

Currently we are experiencing some difficulty accepting multiple abstract submissions and this cannot be corrected until after the Easter holiday in the UK. Until the ability to enter more than one oral presentation abstract or Poster abstract is added to the Conference registration database program please send the Session name, Abstract, Presenter’s name, and contributing authors list, in an email message with a SUBJECT= Multiple Submission, to this address and specify whether it is for a Poster or Oral presentation. Do not include any attachments. This temporary provision only applies to those who would like to submit more than one oral or poster presentation. Please do not use this mechanism to replace or amend an existing submission or for general information purposes. Fiscal policy

As a demonstration of our commitment to supporting education and science in developing countries, the organizing committee is committed to funding the majority of the project with sponsor contributions. If successful, and we feel confident we will, this measure will be converted into two significant benefits for the community.

The first is a greatly reduced registration fee, attractive not only to participants from developing countries, but also those for whom the cost in travelling to Bhutan will be high. In 2018 we have set target ceilings for students from developing countries at 150 USD, students from developed countries at 200 USD and non-students registrations at 300 USD, respectively. In addition, any registered Bhutanese college student may attend the conference lectures for free provided space is available.

Secondly, from the remainder of all conference revenues we will create an educational research fund to support Bhutanese student research projects in environmental science. We propose a small committee staffed by a member of the Tree-Ring Society, UWICER, and the Royal University of Bhutan, College of Natural Resources (RUB-CNR) to administer the fund. This committee will review and award proposals the committee deems conducive to maintaining and expanding Bhutan’s environmental research capacity. Based on previous World Dendro attendance records we estimate this fund could be as large as 70-80,000 USD.
