Cambridge Science Festival 2010

The following events will be taking place in the Department for Cambridge Science Festival:

Friday 12th March

These are events requiring pre-booking.

10-11am: Dr Neil Arnold – Discovering Glaciers (Talk)

2-4pm: Dr Steve Boreham & Chris Rolfe – 3D laser scanning in Geography (Practical)

Saturday 13th March

These are drop-in events running from 9am to 4pm.

Learn how to make waves with Dr Iris Möller and also see a range of coral skeletons.

Meet the Met Station with Dr Ian Willis – get up close and personal to one of the Department’s weather stations just returned from the Greenland Ice Sheet.

Make a volcanic explosion and also see a range of volcanic rocks and stones

See inside an explorer’s tent and try on their Arctic clothes with Education @ Scott Polar Research Institute.

Shop at the Scott Polar Research Institute Shop – soft toys, books, posters, etc.
