Research

My research is concerned with science, people and nature conservation in South Africa and Africa. I am interested in how science is used and what is the role of scientific knowledge, as opposed to other forms of knowledge, in nature conservation. The aim is to gain a better understanding of how science has shaped nature conservation and what are the implications for the inclusion of other forms of knowledge.
