The Department's staff publish regularly in hundreds of separate publications, and attract research funding from a wide variety of sources, including the ERSC, NERC, Anglo-German Foundation, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Work and Pensions, Leverhulme Foundation, and the European Commission. Staff are involved in editing some of the frontline journals in the discipline (including Progress in Physical Geography, Bulletin of Latin American Research, Journal of Economic Geography, Regional Studies, Environment and Planning C: Government and Policy, International Journal of Conservation, Economic History Review). There are currently around 100 PhD students, and 50 students on Masters programmes.
