MPhil in Conservation Leadership
The scheme of examination for the 11-month programme for the degree of MPhil in Conservation Leadership consists of:
- Four essays each of not more than 4,000 words in length, or equivalent exercises. Essay topics and exercises will be selected from a list announced by the Degree Committee for the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Geography.
- A placement report of not more than 10,000 words in length, on a topic approved by the Degree Committee of the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Geography, and based on work carried out by the candidate in one or more institutions approved by the Degree Committee.
- Course-work prescribed by the Degree Committee of the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Geography (which may include written work, group work and class participation).
At the discretion of the Examiners, the examination requirements may include an oral examination on any or all of the assessed components of the MPhil. The pass mark is 60% and the mark for a distinction is 75%.
